Antique Solid Silver Hallmarked Anointing Spoon . A rare and beautiful Gold Gilded Christening spoon, made by the prestigious silversmiths Cornelius Desmormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings Shepard. Hallmarked London 1910. Size: 10.5cm. Weight a good 14grams. This is a true replica of the Royal Anointing spoon first recorded in 1349, as preserved among St Edwards regalia in Westminster abbey. All our Christening spoons are supplied in a gift box. Plaque Engraving inside box- 54 characters free.
