A rare and finely crafted antique solid silver hand-hammered bowl by the celebrated silversmith Henry George (H.G.) Murphy, hallmarked London, 1937.
This elegant bowl carries the maker’s mark HGM, together with the London assay marks, the date letter B for 1937, and Murphy’s distinctive Falcon Studio mark. It is a superb example of Murphy’s hand-worked silver, combining simplicity of form with subtle Arts & Crafts influence.
