Description
Solid Silver Kilt Pin Robert Allison Glasgow 1959 sterling silver Celtic design kilt pin. Vintage Solid Silver kilt Pin in the shape of an axe, also called a Halbard, as it is both an axe and a spear - an ancient Highland weapon. Scottish silver kilt pin based on the designs by Alexander Ritchie designs of the 1920’s and 30’s. Very good condition, supplied in a gift box.
This kilt pin has Glasgow hallmarks with makers RA for Robert Allison, the thistle and rampant lion for sterling silver, the tree for Glasgow assay office and date letter for 1947.
Size – The brooch Length is 7.5cm.
