Antique Solid Silver Napkin Ring – Sheffield 1933 – Emile Viner
A particularly good example of 1930s Sheffield silver, this antique solid silver napkin ring was made by the renowned silversmith Emile Viner and carries full Sheffield hallmarks for 1933.
What sets this piece apart is its quality and weight. At a substantial 29.5 grams, it feels reassuringly solid in the hand – exactly the sort of quality we look for when selecting antique silver. Its classic proportions and beautifully polished sterling silver give it a timeless appearance that looks just as elegant today as it would have done over 90 years ago.
Emile Viner was an important name in Sheffield silverware, and pieces bearing his mark are known for their sound construction and excellent finish. This is a lovely example: well made, nicely proportioned and with plenty of presence without being overly ornate.
The Cartouche (engraving space ) provides space for engraving one initial. Engraving - and you have a genuinely individual silver gift with its own history – ideal for a christening, wedding, anniversary, birthday or other memorable occasion.
We have carefully restored this antique silver napkin ring to near-new condition, bringing back the beautiful finish while preserving its original Sheffield hallmarks and character.
