Silver Napkin Ring - HH1934

Antique Solid Silver Napkin Ring – Birmingham 1934 – Hasset & Harper
A beautifully proportioned antique solid silver napkin ring, made by the Birmingham silversmiths Hasset & Harper and carrying full Birmingham hallmarks for 1934. With its generous size and substantial 29-gram weight, this is a particularly good example of quality 1930s British silver.
At 31 mm high and 46 mm in diameter, the napkin ring has an impressive presence without being overly ornate. The broad polished surface shows off the sterling silver beautifully and, importantly, provides space for personalised engraving one initial.
Pieces like this demonstrate why we continue to seek out good-quality older British silver. The construction is reassuringly solid, the proportions are excellent and, even after more than 90 years, its simple design looks entirely at home on a modern dining table.
The original Birmingham 1934 hallmarks are an important part of the piece, confirming both its sterling silver standard and its place in British silversmithing history.
We have carefully restored this antique silver napkin ring to near-new condition, preserving its original hallmarks and character while returning the silver to a beautiful polished finish.
