Silver R E Stone Spoon RES1972

R E Stone Sterling Silver Spoon 1972 with Edinburgh Hallmarks. A very interesteing spoon as R E Stone had left his London workshop by this time, he carried on working in his retirement when he moved up to Dumbartonshire in Scotland. R E Stone made for a number of highly regarded firms such as Asprey, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths, Hamilton & Inches. His work is sought after by collectors. He sometimes stamped his pieces with a facsimilie signature as can be seen on this spoon. The spoon has a twisted stem and hand hammered bowl. Size: 5.75 inches (147mm) in length. Weight 34 g. This spoon is in superb condition.   Plaque Engraving  inside box- 45 characters free. Engraving one name only in bowl chargeable.
