A rare and highly collectable sterling silver spoon by the celebrated British silversmith R.E. Stone, hallmarked in Edinburgh, 1972.

This spoon is particularly interesting as by the early 1970s Reginald Edwin Stone had retired from his London workshop and moved to Dumbartonshire, Scotland, where he continued to work independently. During his career, Stone created exceptional silver for prestigious firms such as Asprey, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, and Hamilton & Inches, earning a reputation for his artistry and craftsmanship.

The spoon features a twisted stem and a finely hand-hammered bowl, a hallmark of his distinctive style. It also bears his facsimile signature stamp, something he occasionally used on his later pieces, making it even more desirable to collectors.
